In other words, you will not want to have a lot of customer service complaints or negative financial issues out there. You want to take positive steps to ensure that your social media reputation is useful rather than harmful.
One of the simplest ways to ensure that you have a positive reputation is to become an active member in the business. Create a few relevant articles or publish some blog posts. You will add value to discussions in groups that network on LinkedIn or by other professional industry groups. The idea is to stay active, be visible and continue providing value without the sales pitch.
Become a recognizable voice so that your prospects or vendors move forward on the readiness scale of doing business with you. It all starts with being visible, and to do that in today’s world requires a presence on social media.
